Hi! I am Ashley Rush, a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in OCD, Phobias (including Emetophobia), Perfectionism, Anxiety, Skin Picking (Excoriation Disorder), Hair Pulling (Trichotillomania), and other Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs).
I am passionate about helping clients learn new ways of responding to anxiety so they can build meaningful, fulfilling lives on their terms. My work is grounded in compassionate science-backed approaches, including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
I’m committed to ongoing learning and professional growth, and I place a strong emphasis on providing care that reflects the most current, research-supported practices. My goal is to offer thoughtful, effective treatment in a supportive and collaborative environment where clients feel understood and empowered.
Experience
Extensive Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP) training for OCD, Anxiety, and Phobias
Trained in Integrative Behavior Therapy (IBT) for BFRBs
IBT integrates multiple evidenced based treatments for BFRBs
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) trained
Experience working with individuals who are Autistic and/or have ADHD and value providing neurodiversity affirming treatment for all clients.
Co-hosts a virtual support group for OCD since 2021
